About

Sleep science, organized so you don't have to.

SnoozeMetrics turns peer-reviewed sleep research into free, plain-English tools and guides — starting with the science of the 90-minute sleep cycle.

What this site is

SnoozeMetrics is a small, independent site in the sleep and wellness space. The idea is simple: pair genuinely useful tools — calculators for bedtime, naps and jet lag — with clearly sourced guides that explain the science behind them.

Every science article cites its sources. When we say "studies show" or "according to the Sleep Foundation," there's a real reference behind it. We don't invent statistics and we don't dress up opinion as fact.

Who writes it

Jordan Wells

Researcher & editor, SnoozeMetrics

I research and organize sleep science from medical sources — the Sleep Foundation, the NHS, the CDC and peer-reviewed studies — so you don't have to wade through the literature yourself. I'm not a doctor, and I don't pretend to be. My job is to read the research carefully, summarize it honestly, and link back to the originals so you can check my work. Where I've personally tested a product or method, I say so explicitly. Everywhere else, I attribute.

How we make money

SnoozeMetrics is free to use. Over time the site may earn through affiliate links (we earn a commission if you buy through some product links, at no extra cost to you) and display advertising. Recommendations are never for sale — see our Affiliate Disclosure for the full details.

A word on health

Sleep is a health topic, and the tools here are for general guidance, not diagnosis or treatment. If you're dealing with a persistent sleep problem, please talk to a qualified professional. See our Medical Disclaimer.
